A professional open format D.j. with over 10 years of experience across all equipment so there ain't nothing I cant mix on!
a little about me started DJing on vinyl turntables but evolved across all formats I love my fashion, tattoos and Djing so as well as sounding good I look good also ;)
I am open format so musical genres range from House, garage new and old, current main stream popular chart music to R&B, hip hop, afrobeats, bashment to old school classic anthems what ever it is my selection bangz !! I keep it in the mix always I don't need to rely on a play list I can freestyle mix live on the fly with people requesting tunes or either a set play list when only playing in a allocated time.
For me I've always loved music, just being able to play out, and see people dancing to stuff you like, is really a great buzz!
Even if I'm in a club on a night off I get an itch to get behind the decks again - It's a passion!
I’ve been a DJ professionally for about 5 years now, The passion I have for mixing and music most probably came from my uncles being DJs and racking up quite the vinyl collection in our house!
They played a lot of old school Jazz, House and Hip-Hop, with a touch of garage which also rubbed off onto me as I too favourite these genres!
I’ve played at various clubs and bars around central London, learning to keep the more commercial and “touristy” crowds happy! However, Shoreditch is my favourite location to play - having grown up in the area and seen the changes it’s gone through, I feel I have a good understanding of the crowds that come in, and their musical preferences.
"After a conditioning of a vast array music from a young age it’s no wonder that Luke Sorensen has developed into the talented and highly sought-after DJ that he is today. For the past 4 years Luke has played professionally in some of the most well respected venues across Australia. His ability to gauge vibe and musical taste demonstrates the care and understanding he has developed over the years, especially in such a short time.
Taking a huge risk, in January 2016 he hopped on a plane and travelled halfway around the globe in order to further develop his skills. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge, experience and a genuine passion for the music he plays. Influenced by Australia’s flourishing contemporary music scene, Luke has taken his love of great songs, funky rhythms and a need to always have fun to create a truly original, polished, professional and exciting DJ act."
InstantCritical (also know as Chris) has been DJing for 9 years in and around London. Starting out chopping Parisian electro beats and remixes at the the likes New Noise & Transmission, he's flitted between baltimore beats, fidget house, old school hip-hop, chiptune and indie rock 'n roll at the likes of East London clubs Rival Schools, Transmission and Voltage, to mixing dance floor fillers, anthemic classics and a touch of cheese for venues including the Dogstar and the Garage. Expect a mixtape of goodtime anthems from the last 30 years of chart pop, house, hip-hop and r'n'b and just enough good-time singalongs to send you home with a smile on your face.
